LOCAL MISSIONS
MVCN is committed to being the hands and feet of Christ in the Skagit Valley. Here are just a few recent local ministries of our community of faith:
† Once every week we hold a service at our neighborhood Convalescent Center, Life Care Center. Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. Pastor Bethany, Pianist extraordinaire, Lois, and other volunteers sing, pray and explore the Word with the residents. This has been a special relationship between this community and our church…we are BLESSED by these amazing people.
† Our knitters and crotcheters have made countless hats and scarves for our local needy – what a blessing to warm people with the Love of Christ.
† We are currently hosting the congregation of Iglesia Roca Fuerte – a local Spanish speaking church whose building burned to the ground. It is an exciting thing to open our facility up to their worship and service.
† Our church lends out our pastor to the Skagit Valley Hospital. Bethany serves several weeks a year as one of the volunteer chaplains for evenings and weekends.
† We have taken a few trips to help the flood ravaged areas of Lewis County – we have sheetrocked, cleaned, and painted for the glory of God.

† Our annual Alabaster offering from our alabaster boxes funds schools and churches all over the globe.
† We enjoyed hosting missionary, Howie Shute, who traveled to WA from his post in the Horn of Africa to share what God is doing in that area of the world.
