Mount Vernon Church of the Nazarene is a welcoming, Christ-centered community rooted firmly in the Wesleyan–Holiness tradition of the global Church of the Nazarene. As a Nazarene congregation, our mission reflects the heart of our denomination: to share the saving grace of Jesus Christ, teach biblical truth with clarity and love, and pursue a holy life empowered by the Holy Spirit. We believe God’s grace is for everyone and that every person is called into a life shaped by Christlike character and compassionate service.
Who We Are
We are an intergenerational and multicultural church family committed to following Jesus and participating in God’s work in Mount Vernon and beyond.
As part of the Church of the Nazarene, we emphasize:

We believe holiness is not legalism or perfectionism — it is love made real in how we treat others, serve our neighbors, and reflect Jesus in everyday life.
